Top Best Things To Do in Downtown Frederick, MD

If you haven't been to Downtown Frederick, MD, then you're in for a great time. There's lots to do here and it's easy to get around because everything is pretty close. There's one place in particular you must check out... and that's Savage Soaps at 10 E Church Street. They make all of their own natural handmade soaps and body products in-house. You can even get custom scents made at your request. 

Try the Salt Scrub! Savage Soaps makes their own body scrubs daily and you can try them right in the shop. It's almost like being at the spa. There's lots of unique scents to choose from, but if you want something special they can make it while you wait. These Salt Scrubs are amazing. My skin has never felt so soft before! My friends enjoyed the experience as well. 

Smell the soaps! Savage Soaps makes the best handmade soap. The bars are large and kind of rustic and they smell wonderful. It's so much fun to open them and smell to see which ones your favorites are going to be. I've gotten quite a few of these for gifts as well. 

There's handmade soaps for men and women here and younger kids go for the sweeter ones, like Angel Cake and Beach Bum. Handmade soaps are becoming more popular now because they're better for your skin. Savage Soaps are vegan, palm oil free and the box is compostable. Using these soaps are better for the environment and better for you and your family.

Try the body butter! Savage Soaps makes body butter as well. You can get a body butter to match a soap scent or you can get a custom scent. I really liked that I could get my Beach Bum body butter made stronger. But if you like a lighter scent, then you can get it anyway you prefer. The body butter is very moisturizing, rich and not greasy! 

Meet the owners! Something I didn't know until I visited this fabulous shop was that the owners were on ABC TV with Steve Harvey!! How cool is that! They aren't there every day but if you pop in when they're there, it's a real treat to meet them.
